Ballroom dance
The term Ballroom dance comes from Latin word “ballare - to dance” and by time it’s been abbreviated to ball and they added room to the end later on. This dance was created in the Western world and is now enjoyed both socially and competitively around the world.
Ballroom dance applies to any one of the various dances in which two persons a “leader” and a “follower”, following a conventional pattern of steps, under a certain social or folk dance name, moves, rules and convention of that particular dance genre.
