Latin dance

The wide style of dance types that had their origin in Spanish or Portuguese speaking countries, receive the name of Latin dance. Latin dance has so many types that they all differ.

Socially these contain Cha Cha, Rumba, Bolero, Mambo, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia, and Samba. Competitively Paso Doble and swing are also included in this category. Most of these dances have hip movement and all of them you take all steps with the toe staying in contact with the floor.
