Hip hop

Hip hop is a style of street dance, principally developed as a part of the hip hop culture. This culture was developed by young Hispanic and African American communities in New York, throughout the late 1960's. Similar with rap, scratch music and graffiti art, the style include the movements of break-dancing and body-popping, and has been internationally recognized since the 1970's.

This lovely, vigorous and acrobatic dance began as off shoot of Break dance. Today it is very popular and is practiced around the world. In Hip hop dance, you can add any step to it, any move, any trick from any dance and it won't even look awkward. Hip hop dancing is heavily influenced by the development of hip hop music and its popularity in media.
Hip hop is very popular amongst the youths, because of its compatibility with modern pop, rap, dance hall, reggae, hip hop and r&b songs and the majority of new music video choreographies are styled with Hip hop elements.
